Understanding high rise private property.
In Singapore, properties can be largely divided into 2 categories
- public ( i.e developed by the government) or
- private ( developed by private developers).
There is also a smaller category which is a merger between the both i.e : DBSS Flats and Executive Condominiums.
Private property in Singapore can be purchased with lesser restrictions (compared to HDBs) as long as you meet the age and affordability requirements. Coupled with the Asian mentality that real estate is a tangible and safe asset, private property has always been a favourite investment vehicle.
If you are planning on purchasing a private property, this page can provide you with resources to make it less complicated.
